Description:
The primary goal of Scorpion Solitaire is to create four piles of descending cards of the same suit, from King to Ace. Much like building a well-structured Pyramid or a solid Klondike foundation, your strategic mindset and decision-making will be essential to achieving success in Scorpion Solitaire.

Instructions:
Scorpion Solitaire begins with a tableau consisting of seven piles. The first four piles contain seven cards each, with the first three cards face down and the remaining four face up. The last three piles have six cards each, with the first three face down and the next three face up. The remaining three cards form a deck, ready to be dealt when needed.

The different piles:
Imagine the Scorpion Solitaire tableau as a living, breathing scorpion, poised to strike its prey. This scorpion has three crucial parts, each with its own purpose and significance in the game:

  • The Tail: A deck of three cards nestled in the upper left corner, just waiting for the right moment to deal its sting.
  • The Body: Seven robust piles that form the main table, a battleground where you'll strategically move and rearrange cards to outwit the scorpion.
  • The Head / Foundations: The four piles in the upper right corner, your ultimate destination, where you'll assemble your cards in perfect harmony, from King to Ace of the same suit, to claim your victory.

Valid Moves:
In Scorpion Solitaire, you can move any stack of cards as long as the top card is of the same suit and its rank is exactly one less than the target card. For example, you can move a 5 of hearts onto a 6 of hearts, but not onto a 6 of clubs. This rule applies to entire stacks of descending cards in the same suit.

When you're out of moves, deal the last three cards from the deck to the first three tableau piles. This can provide new possibilities and keep the game moving forward.

Scoring:
While playing Scorpion Solitaire online, you can use the handy undo feature to correct mistakes and experiment with different moves. However, keep in mind that using the undo feature will cost you points, so use it wisely.

Difficulty:
Scorpion Solitaire offers three difficulty levels to suit your skills and experience: Easy, Medium, and Hard. Easy mode is perfect for beginners or those looking for a relaxed experience, while Medium mode provides a balanced challenge for players who have mastered the basics. Hard mode is designed for seasoned players craving a true test of their strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
